Such an encouraging month! The sun has been shining, the weather is a bit warmer, the Spring flowers are popping with color! Friends from around our state continue to meet, share time together and talk about their trials, tears, and their Victories!
As a mom of a super cool dude who has a mighty incredible mind yet he struggles with reading, spelling, processing, fitting in, staying focused, fights boredom in class,... I am continually overwhelmed with a whole lot of support that I find in and around our state. So many other families can relate to what me and my boy go through. So many stories are so much like our struggles.
It was a blessing to hear from Susan Barton in Louisville. It amazes me that someone who doesn't live in our home, who doesn't really know me, my son or what we go through is able to stand in front of a room full of hundreds of people and talk about the exact same challenges that we go through each day! Truth is, the struggle is real because Dyslexia is Real and it impacts SO MANY.
I am so encouraged and motivated to keep working to ensure my son has the most appropriate interventions provided to him so he is successful. I want this not only for him, but for all those like him. The "one in five" student desperately needs their Teachers, Principals, Superintendents, District, State Department of Education to Say Dyslexia!
Kiss your kids!
